VOIP Telephones - What Are They & How Do They Work?

VOIP telephones are not new, big international corporations have been using them for years. Why?, because of the huge savings they make on local and international calls. You may ask what is the difference between a VOIP phone and a traditional wired phone from the big telephone companies? The answer is that traditional analogue phones need a pair of wires coming from a telephone pole outside your house, into your home and then wired to all the phones in the house. A VOIP phone system comes into your home via your internet connection. It is wired directly to your router, via a Ethernet cable to what's called a "ATA adaptor". The adapter has a conventional telephone socket, so you can plug a conventional analogue telephone into the ATA adaptor. In this way you can use your existing telephone/s as a VOIP phone. You can even wire the ATA adaptor into the existing telephone wiring of the house, and all the phones, answering machines & cordless phones in the house, become essentially VOIP phones.
 


ATA VOIP Phone Adapter €50+IVA

 A VOIP contract with us is €12 per month (payable quarterly in advance) which includes 150 minutes of free calls to Spanish Mobile & Landline numbers. Included in this price is a new Spanish 964###### Castellon phone number. Call costs to UK Landline numbers is charged at 6c per minute. We also ask for a €10 advance account credit, to pay for future call costs, which gets topped up with €10 whenever the current balance falls below €5. We send you a PayPal request when this €10 becomes due. You will of course need to make a one off purchase of a ATA adaptor. Minimum contract period is 12 continuous months, and your VOIP phone can be used with our stop/start internet service. Unfortunately though, you cannot stop/start the VOIP phone service (you would lose the phone number) this must be continuous. We do not offer our VOIP service to Non NetSeekers customers.
 Please note this VOIP service is not compatible with some older "phone line monitored" house alarm systems.
